Dental veneers are thin pieces of tooth-coloured porcelain that are applied to the front of your teeth to create a beautiful, natural smile. Like dental bondings, veneers are a non-invasive way to change the look and feel of your teeth.
Reasons for porcelain veneers:
- Crooked or misshaped teeth
- Discoloured or stained teeth
- Teeth that are too small or large
- Uneven spaces
- Worn / chipped teeth
What does getting porcelain veneers involve?
Veneers are often used as alternatives to crowns, as they are minimally invasive and very durable. Veneers are generally applied over two visits, with little or no anaesthesia.
During the first visit, a mold will be created and a veneer colour will be chosen to match your existing teeth. Once the veneers are created from the mold, they will be applied using a bonding cement that is hardened using a special light beam.
Caring for your porcelain veneers
