Comprehensive Dental Services

From General Dentistry to Specialized Treatments, We've Got You Covered

Dentistry for Seniors

At Cholakis Dental Group, we offer comprehensive dental care for the entire family, including seniors.

Dentures

At Cholakis Dental, we offer both complete and partial dentures. A denture will help improve speaking and chewing, and also keep existing teeth from shifting out of position.

Exams & Cleanings

At Cholakis Dental Group, we recommend that you get your teeth cleaned at least twice a year, although your dentist or hygienist may recommend additional visits.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlay and onlay restorations are custom-made composite fillings that are permanently cemented to the cusps of your teeth. They are often used as alternatives to fillings when repairing teeth damaged by decay or trauma.

Porcelain Crowns (Caps)

A porcelain crown is essentially a tooth-shaped cap used to fix and restore a damaged tooth. Covering the entire visible portion of the tooth, a crown will protect and strengthen your tooth, matching the original shape, size and colour.

Porcelain Fixed Bridges

A bridge is a fixed (non-removable) dental appliance used to replace one or more missing teeth. Designed to match the look and feel of your natural teeth, a bridge consists or two crowns that serve as anchors to hold your new artificial teeth in place.

Root Canal

Root canals are needed when the nerves and pulp inside the tooth is damaged or decayed. In order to save your tooth, the pulp, nerves and decay/bacteria need to be removed and replaced.

Sealants

A sealant is a thin plastic coating that is applied to molars and premolars to protect against decay in the deep grooves of teeth. People who have teeth with deep grooves (also known as pits and fissures) are more prone to cavities and tooth issues as the teeth are difficult to clean and more susceptible to decay.

Custom Sports Mouthguards

Custom Sports Mouthguards offer a whole other level of comfort and safety than the store bought or “boil and bite” variety. Custom mouthguards are made of medical grade acrylic, offering additional concussion preventing padding. They also help protect against the risk of biting your tongue upon impact.

White Fillings

When a tooth has been damaged by cracks, fractures or decay, a composite (tooth coloured) filling is a great way to fix the damage. More aesthetically pleasing than a traditional silver filling, composite fillings are custom-made to match the look and colour of your existing teeth.

Wisdom Teeth (Extractions)

The process begins with a panoramic X-ray so we can examine any possible wisdom tooth issues. We will then discuss the pros, cons and risks of the different options so you can make an informed decision. Depending on your specific needs, we may recommend removing some or all of your wisdom teeth.

A Winnipeg Leader in Kids Dental Services

Through our sister clinic, Kids Dental, we offer a full spectrum of in-house dental health services for children. Our interdisciplinary team of dentists, orthodontists, and hygienists works together to provide comprehensive care, making every visit a fun and magical experience for your child.

Dental Bonding

Dental bondings are used to enhance a tooth’s shape, colour and function. Because bondings are tooth-coloured, they act as a more cosmetically pleasing alternative to silver fillings. Perfect for the front of teeth or as fillings, bondings are painless, non-invasive and quick to apply.

Invisalign Invisible Braces

Invisalign aligners are custom-made from clear plastic designed to help your teeth safely and gradually shift into place. All you have to do is switch to a new aligner every couple of weeks and they will work like magic. Best of all, the aligners are virtually invisible!

Teeth Whitening

Cholakis Dental is your ticket to whiter, brighter teeth! In recent years, the demand for teeth whitening treatments has soared, quickly becoming the number one aesthetic request from our patients. Along with this growing demand, we have also seen great advancements in the treatment options available.

Veneers

Dental veneers are thin pieces of tooth-coloured porcelain that are applied to the front of your teeth to create a beautiful, natural smile. Like dental bondings, veneers are a non-invasive way to change the look and feel of your teeth.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are used as long-term replacements for one or more missing teeth. The process begins with an abutment (post) being placed directly into the jawbone. On top of the abutment, a custom-made replacement tooth is placed and cemented. This creates a strong and long-lasting tooth replacement that looks and feels exactly like a natural tooth.

Oral Surgery

Oral & maxillofacial surgeons practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. They also diagnose and treat facial injuries and perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures.

Orthodontics

Our Winnipeg orthodontists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of jaw and bite issues known as malocclusions. Orthodontists can help discover, prevent and treat a wide range of issues that can have a huge impact on your confidence and overall health.

Oral Pathology

Oral pathology, also known as maxillofacial pathology, is the study of conditions, injuries and diseases affecting the mouth, jaws and facial areas surrounding the mouth.

Periodontics

Periodontists specialize in the gums and bone surrounding teeth. While overall oral health has improved in North America, an astonishing 4 out of 5 people still have periodontal disease. Gum disease is the number one reason for lost teeth, and it can also have implications in terms of your overall health

Prosthodontics

Prosthodontists receive full general dental training, along with an additional three years dedicated to prosthodontics. This additional training results in a deeper understanding of dental materials and ways to correct an irregular bite.
