Cholakis Holiday Party and Michele Venn’s 20th Anniversary!
Like any good family, we celebrate the milestones!
As we gathered at the St. Charles Country Club to celebrate another year together, we took the opportunity to surprise one of our hygienists, Michele Venn, and celebrate her 20th anniversary with the Cholakis Dental Group.
“For me, it’s always been about my patients,” says Michele. “Everyday is exciting because it’s just like visiting my friends, and they get their teeth cleaned as a bonus!” :)
There were plenty of smiles and tears as Ernest Cholakis and our office manager, Cindy, took the podium to speak about everything Michele means to our company before presenting her with a string of pearls to commemorate the anniversary, and all the wonderful years they’ve share together.

Michele has she seen a lot of changes in her time at the Cholakis Dental Group.
“I never dreamed I would be in a multidisciplinary practice where you have all the specialities at your disposal.” Michele said. “That way patients feel that all their work can be collaborated on instead of relying on letters and waiting for appointments, and the doctors can actually get together and talk about a case face to face.”
She went to on say how having such a diverse team to work with has also affected our ability to adopt changes in new technology.
“Luckily for us we have a lot of teachers from the university working with us, so we don’t jump on every bandwagon,” Michele said. “They always make sure that they research things before we implement them in our practice.
Our diverse team is also one of Michele’s favourite aspects of workings for the Cholakis Dental Group.
“It’s new and old,” says Michelle. “I love walking by the dentist’s corner, and hearing the new dentists talking to the retired dentists about what’s going on and why they’ve chosen to do something that way, or if could offer an opinion on a procedure. I love hearing that.”
When we asked Michele if she had any final advice from her years of dental hygiene experience, her answer was simple:
“If you were stranded on an Island and could either have your floss or your toothbrush, you should have your floss!” :)
